I grew up in a village with long history. The history of the village was not only a history of conflicts and disagreements, but also had many highlights as well. As far as I can remember, I would always be reminded of the dramatic past of the place I would grow up in.
Not only the violent past influenced macro-economics and mentality of the place (what did not kill you, made you stronger), but might also have been the reason of harmony and disharmony in many places.
