Lemon-Apple-Hazelnut Sauce 3/4 cup sugar 3 tablespoons cornstarch 1/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup water 1/2 cup lemon juice 1 can (20 oz.) apple pie filling 1/2 cup Oregon hazelnuts, roasted & chopped Mix together sugar, cornstarch and salt in a 1-quart glass bowl. Gradually stir in the water. Microwave for 3 to 4 minutes or until thick and clear. Stir a couple of times while cooking. Gradually add the lemon juice and stir to blend. Add the pie filling and hazelnuts. Spoon over gingerbread, pound cake or use as pie filling.
