Peach-Custard Kuchen


1	cup	flour
2	tbsp	sugar
1/4	tsp	salt
1/8	tsp	baking powder
1/4	cup	margarine or butter, softened
1-1/2	cup	sliced peaches (about 2 medium sized peaches)
1/4	cup+2 tbsp sugar
1	tsp	ground cinnamon
2	egg yolks
1	cup	whipping cream


Preheat oven to 450F.  Mix flour, 2 tbsp sugar, salt, and baking powder.  Cut 
in margarine until mixture is crumbly. Get a ungreased 8x8 inch square cake 
pan.  Pat mixture firmly in the bottom of the pan and halfway up the sides.  
Arrange the peaches in the pan.  Mix 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp sugar and the cinnamon, 
sprinkle this over the peaches.  Bake this for 15 minutes.  Mix the egg yolks 
and whipping cream, pour over the peaches.  Bake until the custard is set and 
edges are light brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.  Serve while still warm.
