Here comes one of my most famous novels. This is about the beginning, our breakthrough and also a note about our fine clan today. Now, tune in some radio channel (why not heddans? :E) or get a 100-minutes playlist running or you'll be sorry.

The beginning of the Dark Age
In the very very very first beginning me (Eta-Beta) started to play Quake in clan [SKK] (Stål Kalle Klanen) (like the only and worst clan in south of sweden). Anyway, this was in 98' and after a while we became inactive (at least I didn't play very much due to the cost and lack of interest of playing Quake).

The beginning of the New Age

Background

Since the summer of 96' we (Eta-Beta, Broning and Ruffnux (from clan forsakens)) have had a network cablen from our house to Hagges house. We've played lots of DOOM2 and Duke Nukem 3D, and also loads of starcraft games have been played here :E.

Quake related background

Ruffnux was the only one except for me who had been playing quake before. He had played through the whole game but he didn't get caught in the multiplayer game as I did. One day I got him to play Quake 2on2 with me against bots (not absolutely sure of this one) and when had played a couple of games he was stuck in it. He became better and better and suddenly he was better than me :E.
Actually I don't know when broning got to play Quake at first. But I know that we'd played some Future VS Fantasy (a mod for quake (dm)) with us. Also hagge did this. At first, hagges brother was also playing Quake with us but he got more and more strange as the years went by and now he's totally wacked (when it comes to QW) :\. Anyway, Hagge got stuck as well and we started to play 2on2!

Game play

We played and played... And played and played and played. All nights long when it was holidays. Hagge got better and better but he kept wondering how we could move that fast :E and he couldnt' :\. When he suddently realized that bunny jumping existed he was eager to learn how to do that. Even if it took a while I believe he's just as good as anyone by now. [note] Hagge is the most statitics-interested person in the world so he has been looking on that ".speed-meter" for several hours in his life - until he could go as fast as possible (he still can't? :E).
Well, as everyone knows by now, dm2 was/is our favorite map. Next is dm4 and "dm6" is the worst map ever in our humble opinions :). F***ing RA-campers :). Well, me and broning are trying to learn it but it a very slow process concidering out aggressive gameplay style :\.

Campbusters

Hagge says he's the former of the clan (from the beginning) and I guess we can give him that. But it wouldn't have been alive without me and Broning. I came up with the idea of taking the wonderful (not) name "Camp Busters" (I think ruff or bro and maybe I said this once when we played dm4 and felt like ghostbusters with our shafts) which we've thought about changing several times but havent had the guts to do. Anyway, this was when we got our ISDN connections and left the modem to the history books. We had about 56 ping and I was splitting my connection with broning (which made us use rate 3000 or rate 3500 :\). I started playing 2on2 with bro over the internet and ruffnux decided not to play with us. He was watching demos instead and got great teamplay experiences which he used when we laned some times.
Oh, now I remember! Ruffnux got caught by the powers of Quake at a LAN-party when I and ruffnux had the responsibility of "KEEPING RL SAFE" at dm3 :). Neither one of us could even find our way to rl-box despite my teamplaying with [SKK] for several months/years. When we got to rl-box we just sat there with our rocket launchers, waiting for enemies to come rape us with quad and stuff :[. After this lan-party, ruffnux started playing Quake. We first played "Real Quake" (Winquake.exe) in our local area network at home (with hagge) but later we changed to QW.
Well, enought about that and back to the clan. When we first got online and got real into mIRC (n00b-hagzter), we created the channel #campbusters. Pepin had been LANing with us a couple of times before and since he had ISDN too, we wanted him to join. Now we were 4 quake loving newbies ready to rape. We joind Smackdown 3 and got to meat the deutch clan "Trash" and the Disney Stars. The match versus Trash wasn't that exciting but Disney Stars we could have won :).
Since we didn't want to be only 4 members, we let Falkieri join. Also Horatio (from #gamblers) joined in and played for a while with us. Later on Knight joined us but as the kid he is, he didn't played for that long. Hamorai played a little longer and was actually pretty skilled. Too bad he wasn't our type :\. Now he's just hagges little sweetheart :E. Our current players are (02-11-28) Eta-Beta, Hagge, Broning, Speed, Phil, Javve, Mystikal, Narrow and SLB. SLB joined in first and no, it's not slabby. It's "Sir Lord Baltimore". Later, speed joined us (we've been at the same LAN:s a couple of times and he's a nice guy ;). Mystikal is our own finnepinne and be ready to cheer him up because he's always sad. Narre (Narrow) is also from a place nearby me, hagge, bro and speed. Phil joined our clan pretty recently. He said that we had to have the goal to top division 2 in NQR season 3 if he wanted to join. Well, we said we'de do our best. And I guess our best was enough this time!
Soon, me, hagge and bro are going to QH-Lan. Javve was the last player to join us and the good news is - He's coming to QHlan too :))). That makes four of us so I guess we'll get some TP there as well :]. QH-Lan beware, here we come. The newbie clan Campbusters :E.
