(Still no reply from JVC support on the random issue, see 6/21/05). I've been working to consolidate our two computers at home to just one. Moving files and programs and so. I also installed Photoshop Album 2.0 that I got a while back. I'm hoping that this program can bring order to our +10Gbyte of photos that we have collected over the last 5 years. But... after installing it as administrator on our Windows XP machine, I got worried when a pop-up window said "You are not running as administrator and will have limited access on this computer" when I ran as my normal user. I'm not running as administrator normally to prevent spyware and viruses from doing too much damage (or so I think). But I was surprised that a major company as Adobe would not (fully) support such a configuration. When trying to import all our photos, the program crashed twice before finishing, and I have not touched it since... I'm tired of these computer problems. Is a mac my solution?

First day of summer, or so I think. Yesterday I installed my new car stereo. I bought a JVC KD-DV5100 CD/DVD receiver that can play a DVD+-R/RW full of mp3:s. Pretty neat. That way I think I do not have to be bored by listening to the same CD over and over again. The little time I have played around with it (going to work, mainly), I'm pleased. It sounds good and most functions are simple to use. But... the random function is quite bad. Everytime I turn the stereo off, the random sequence replays exactly the same after finishing the song it was playing. I have written to JVC to see if they can do a firmware or software fix/update. If you own it also, please visit : JVC support and leave a request for them to upgrade the software to fix the random function.
