I'm doing a research paper on national vomiting styles, >and I would like some input. > -V. >-- Finnish vomit is quite easily distinguishable from any other vomit. 1) VOLUME. When we decide to do something, we do our best to achieve maximum results. Maybe being a small nation has something to do with it. So, if a Finn is about to throw up in your house, bring out not one, not two, but three empty buckets. If in a car, pull over and open all right-hand side doors (don't flood the highway). 2) COMPOSITION. Mashed rice-barley-meat mixture from the "lihis" meat pie is common. Other typical solids are 20mm. chunks of sausage, links of iron chain, meat balls, whole cats, and tomato halves. Young people eat international junk food, so the reproduct looks quite international, but a very dark color is prominent due to the "SalmiakkiKossu" licorice vodka. Around the Easter time the "mämmi" dish gives the vomit a cowshit-like color and consistence. As a matter of fact, "mämmi" looks very much the same before and after being eaten, no matter what route it chooses to come out, so be careful if in Finland around the Easter time. 3) EXECUTION. The Finns are generally very talented vomiters. A friend of mine had a heavy Polterabend (the evening before getting married). He then had to vomit into his inside pocket amidst the ceremony, but even the priest noticed nothing. It is also said that the students of hut.fi are able to throw up a perfect sinus curve while running. - - - - - - Hope this... um... helps. *MM -- Hint: Uneaten "mämmi" is packed in cartons.
