note: from what I remember from the earlier bootleg page (Gayle's), it was believed that the tracks recorded in Frankfurt weren't original soundboard recordings, but taken from a video tape from that in-studio concert.

Comments: great artwork (the best designed bootleg there is with Jeff) and also the best sounding bootleg I've heard so far.
I have yet to figure out what "MONADA ... " is. Anyone who knows?

This is absolutely NOT the first of these bootlegs to get. It's almost the same as the hallelujah bootleg, but inferior in sound quality and in artwork.
There are some really big annoyances with this cd:
1) the 4th song is "What Will You Say" (a JB original)
2) the 5th song is "Mojo Pin"!
3) in the middle of a break in the 8th song they've put the starting mark for the next song, i.e. Grace begins after one minute on the 9th track!!!

Live 1995

Comments:
This show is probably from Tokyo, February 31st 1995. (It ought to be, since Jeff says something like it begin the first time in Japan.)
It's pretty rare, when I was on a record fair a while ago, a guy had it (I didn't buy it though - I already had it : ) and he said that this was a japanese bootleg issued in only 500 copies worldwide!
Sound quality is good except for track four where 20 seconds into the song the sound becomes heavily "muted". Only that song though.
This cd shows more than any cd I've got with Jeff his ability to communicate with the audience during concert, particularly on two occations:
1) end of track 3 he holds a monologue taking different voices.
[ plain text ] [ mp3, 1.57 MB ]
2) beginning of track 8 he loses one bassdrum, his microphone and the phone-d'athlee(?), so he makes up a song - mystery gig.
[ "song text" ] [ mp3, 1.?? MB ]

He also does a special encore, making a medley out of Hallelujah that goes into "I Know It's Over" (ths Smiths) and then back to Hallelujah.

SOUNDBOARD

Comments:
this is practically the same cd as the hallelujah and the So Real bootlegs for the first 8 songs, the first song however is unique for this bootleg. All of the last three songs are on the Dream brother record. song 7 is "Eternal Life" and song 8 is "Kick Out The Jams".

note: I haven't had proper time to listen to this cd, but a few comments anyway - opening the booklet was NOT a pleasant surprise (look att the artwork) - REALLY BAD TASTE - and also, as any fan knows, the 8th song's name is "The way young lovers do".

There are as I said two more bootlegs, Black Roses and Live at Glastonbury that I haven't got yet - and sadly you won't be able to see or get any info from me about those therefore.

In order to get any of these bootlegs, there are naturally record fairs but there are also some "internet shops":

Intergalactic Records (WV, USA)
I got two of my bootlegs from them, they're pretty expensive though - each of them was at $35, S&H not included.
I don't really know what's happening right now at their internet home, but you can't access the pages you could find the JB stuff.

They've had So Real and hallelujah for sale before.

Music Specialists (Singapore)
I got five of my eigth bootlegs from this store. With Music Specialists you sometimes have to be quick, depending on which bootleg you want, most stuff they've got with Jeff sell pretty fast. Their cds are at $22, S&H included in the whole world.

Right now they have SESSIONS, Eternal Life, Wayward Angel and Dream brother listed.

They've also had Voices (a long time ago), Black Roses and the last goodbye (very recently) listed.

CD SHOP GOLD (Japan)
They have four bootlegs listed right now (but for lack of money I haven't got the chance to buy the two I am missing). Their cds are at between 3200 and 3500 JPY.

Listed now: Black Roses, So Real, Live at Glastonbury and Eternal Life.

To my knowledge, there are no other place on internet where you can find Jeff Buckley bootlegs.

If you'd like to add something to these pages, comments or whatever, feel free to write to me and I'll put it here on this page. Thanks!
